Elon musk is by far one of the richest people in the world but you may know how he made so much. His story is inspirational and today I am going to tell you it.
Early Life.
As a child Elon learned the basics of coding and at 12 years old he made a simple game and sold it to a newspaper for a whopping $500 which is a crazy amount of money for a kid to make.
Zip2 Was Born!
After that game sold he didn’t do anything else incredible until he was 17 when he moved to America where together him and his brother made an incredible piece of software called Zip2 which later sold for over $300 Million!
How This All Happened?
All of this didn’t happen on it’s own though as Elon had to overcome many challenges while learning how to make software. However he was a quick learner as he learnt an entire manual of the BASIC programming language in 3 days and soon after was making games.
PayPal The Future Of Banking.
Next Elon Musk set his sites on an even bigger project a mobile banking app that would change the world! PayPal. After months of development Elon released this app know at the time as X.com later on eBay would acquire it for over $1.5 Billion making him rich.
What Would He Do Next?
Now he was a billionaire would Elon Musk sit around in a billion dollar mansion while sipping a thousand pound gold smoothie? No instead he would work on new projects in the hopes of changing the world as we know it!
SpaceX
Next Elon would set his sights to space as he founded a new space company named SpaceX. Originally he invested $200 Million into his new company and estimated he would have enough money for three launches sadly all three of these launches failed and he was tempted to shut down the company. Instead he scraped some money together to do a fourth and final launch which was a success and with that SpaceX was ready for more missions.
Tesla
One of Elon Musk's newest businesses is tesla motors a company that sells electric cars in 2008 he sold his first tesla model which was a complete win as everyone liked the idea of low pollution cars.
What Can You Learn From Him?
Whether it was luck that Elon had on his side to succeed or the time he put into his art you have to admit he is incredible at coming up with new innovative ideas and that’s why I think he succeeded. If you put in the time and can come up with new interesting businesses then you could too become as rich as Elon Musk.
